A five-week course on Friday mornings from 10 - 12
Write stories or longer pieces inspired by your life and experiences. This class will nurture your creativity and help you weave personal memories into compelling stories. In a supportive group you will motivate and inspire each other. Memoir has particular challenges for the writer in terms of choosing what to leave in or out, organising material and finding your authentic voice. Join us to explore. All lessons are underpinned by advice on the craft of writing.

Crafting and Writing Short Stories

A five-week course on Thursday afternoons from 1.30 - 3.30pm
This course focuses on writing short stories in a supportive group. We’ll cover getting started, generating and shaping ideas, and story construction.
Over five weeks you will learn about plotting, conflict, characterisation, dialogue, and point of view. There will be prompts, time to write and discussion. By the end of the course, you will be writing fluently.
This course is suitable for beginners and more confident writers.
